We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Specialist in Union, OH to support production operations, quality standards, and workflow efficiency within assigned manufacturing cells. This role serves as a subject matter expert for production assembly, testing, and quality processes while helping ensure safety, productivity, and operational excellence. The Manufacturing Specialist will assist with training team members, troubleshooting production issues, and maintaining compliance with company standards and procedures.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Specialist in Union, OH to support production operations, quality standards, and workflow efficiency within assigned manufacturing cells. This role serves as a subject matter expert for production assembly, testing, and quality processes while helping ensure safety, productivity, and operational excellence. The Manufacturing Specialist will assist with training team members, troubleshooting production issues, and maintaining compliance with company standards and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and support all aspects of workplace health, safety, and risk management.
- Coordinate production flow within assigned work cells to meet production schedules and throughput goals.
- Maintain hourly production data and identify root causes and corrective actions for production challenges.
- Utilize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other company software to support production activities.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide feedback regarding work cell performance and employee development to production leadership.
- Identify concerns with standards, work instructions, drawings, or processes and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain and support 6S workplace organization and compliance standards.
- Assist in directing workflow within assigned production cells and provide support to other production areas as needed.
- Ensure workstations are properly prepared for incoming shifts, including tool availability, material staging, and housekeeping requirements.
- Support surge production demands and assist in meeting critical production deadlines.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing assembly, production processes, quality standards, and testing procedures.
- Recognized as a technical resource for production building, quality verification, and product testing within assigned work cells.
- Ability to train, mentor, and provide hands-on instruction to new associates.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and quality focus.
- Comprehensive product knowledge and understanding of manufacturing specifications.
- Ability to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and adjust completed units to ensure compliance with customer requirements, specifications, and tolerances.
- Proficiency with manufacturing software systems and production reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or industrial experience required.
- Experience with quality inspection, testing, and troubleshooting preferred.
- Experience training or mentoring employees in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet production schedules.
- Flexible, adaptable, and capable of performing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to supporting coworkers and achieving production goals.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and quality while working under deadlines.
