Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems. This role is vital in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our locomotive fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair diesel locomotives, including engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and air systems.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance locomotive performance and reliability.
Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately in compliance with company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the locomotive or transportation industry.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions:
