The work environment varies between indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to temperature extremes and weather elements, as well as oils and lubricants. - High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the locomotive or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
