GENERAL PURPOSE
The Paint Line Operator is responsible for operating the Paint Line, which includes loading and unloading the Paint Line and Large Line, managing powder parts, and regulating the booths. The role requires independent decision-making and resourcefulness.

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Paint Line Operator is responsible for operating the Paint Line, which includes loading and unloading the Paint Line and Large Line, managing powder parts, and regulating the booths. The role requires independent decision-making and resourcefulness.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Line Operator Responsibilities:
- Accurately load and unload the Paint Line, Large Line, and burn oven.
- Powder parts on the Large Line and inspect products for quality.
- Monitor for defects, touch up parts with spray guns, and maintain cleanliness of booths.
- Ensure proper powder levels and perform preventative maintenance on booths.
- Organize wash baskets and maintain backroom case skids.
- Inspect measurements and transport completed products.
- Operate forklifts as needed and ensure materials are available.
- Assist in other departments and maintain a clean workstation following 5S procedures.
- Meet performance objectives and uphold company core values.
- Proactively identify and report workplace hazards.
- Perform other duties as necessary to support business operations.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings and follow directions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability in attendance and punctuality.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in using a forklift, spray gun, and powder coater.
- 3 months to 1 year of relevant experience in a spray booth environment.
- Stand for 8 hours/day with coordinated hand movements.
- Frequent lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs., occasionally up to 70 lbs., and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
- Exposure to dust and spray fumes in a non-air-conditioned shop environment.
- Steel-toed shoes are required.
