Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Assembly Line Supporter to join a fast-paced manufacturing operation in West Point, GA. This position supports daily production by ensuring materials and parts are available at the production line, assisting with assembly operations, and filling in for absent team members as needed.

The ideal candidate has previous assembly or manufacturing experience, understands the importance of safety and quality, and is comfortable working in a team-oriented production environment. This position may also provide backup support to production leadership when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily assembly and manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Ensure required parts and materials are available at the production line.
  • Perform assigned assembly processes according to established work instructions and cycle-time requirements.
  • Fill in at different production stations when team members are absent or additional support is required.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and production requirements.
  • Identify and communicate production, equipment, material, and quality issues.
  • Assist with basic equipment resets and troubleshooting when trained and authorized.
  • Support efforts to reduce equipment and production downtime.
  • Assist with training new and existing team members on production processes and procedures.
  • Support supervisors and team leaders with daily production activities as needed.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area using 5S principles.
  • Assist with implementing quality improvements and corrective actions.
  • Maintain positive and professional working relationships with coworkers and leadership.
  • Perform additional production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Previous assembly experience required.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Associate degree or additional technical education is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and follow written work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are preferred.
  • Experience working with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is a plus.
  • Basic equipment troubleshooting experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, and reach as required.
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Use hand tools and handle small components.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to approximately 30 pounds.
  • Push or pull carts or materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Safely handle a continuous flow of parts and materials throughout the production area.
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Rotating shifts may be required.
  • Must be available to work overtime as production needs require.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
  • Most production areas are climate controlled.
  • Employees are expected to comply with all company safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.
Preferred Experience
  • Automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier experience.
  • Assembly line or production support experience.
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience training or assisting other production employees.
  • Basic manufacturing equipment troubleshooting experience.
