Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Maintenance and Janitorial / Porter Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing light janitorial work and general maintenance tasks throughout our facility and production areas. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, performing routine equipment maintenance, and providing support for company events.

Responsibilities:

  • Pickup and transport trash, cardboard, wood, and recycling from all departments
  • Dispose of materials according to established procedures
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks, such as greasing, oiling, and cleaning machines
  • Conduct facility cleaning operations, including mopping, vacuuming, and general cleaning tasks
  • Assist in setting up for company events, such as conferences and summer cookouts
  • Help with planting small flowers at entrance pots during the summer season
  • Complete any miscellaneous jobs required for various departments
  • Ensure materials are readily available for the job
  • Update all completed work in the designated system and schedule
  • Provide assistance in other plant operations as needed
  • Follow the 5S procedure to maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations
  • Adhere to pre-established performance objectives
  • Understand workplace hazards and take proactive measures to prevent and report hazards or injuries
  • Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to operate a golf cart and scissor lift is a plus, or willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to perform various tasks as assigned
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects if required
  • Understanding of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to them
